Building Better Students
What is this, and what does it mean? For that info just read this article >>>

Your BBSST Team is working

It is:

  • A school-based collaborative team designed to meet the diverse needs of

general education students who are at risk of school failure or dropping

out due to chronic academic and or behavior challenges.

  • An extensive network of school leadership teams found in

        every Alabama public school.

  • An infrastructure that delivers higher quality learning opportunities

through awareness of teacher skills and presentation modalities

needed to encourage students' best academic effort

        and appropriate behavior.

  • An individualized student plan that does not duplicate or

supplement plans for students actively served by other programs.

It Promotes Learning through:

  • Rigor

          - Raises expectations for success

         - Challenges academic core and interventions

         - Conducts progress monitoring by teach and teachers

  • Relevance

        - Utilization of course-specific strategies

        - Integration of academic and behavioral needs

        - Active engagement of students and teachers

- Data Driven Decision making

  • Relationships

         - Guidance, direction, and personal support for students

        - Diverse individualization
