On behalf of the JES Family, I would like to say thank you for your prayers, text messages, emails, and words of encouragement for our 2nd grade classmate and friend, Ashleigh Jones. Many of our students are close to Ashleigh and are having a tough time. We ask for your continued support and prayers.
Please continue to pray for Ashleigh, her family, and the medical staff at Children's Hospital. The family may be in Birmingham for many more days and weeks. If you would like to assist the family with travel and medical expenses, please click HERE. You can also stop by any Redstone Federal Credit Union branch to make a direct donation to the Ashleigh Jones Medical Fund.
On Friday, April 21, all Limestone County Schools and Brookhill Elementary in Athens are participating in Hats and Hugs for Ashleigh. Bring $1.00 and students can wear a hat in school all day. All proceeds will go directly to the Jones family.
Also, special thanks today to Jan Tribble and all LCS counselors who met with our students this morning. I also appreciate JES assistant principal, Mitzi Looney, LCS Transportation Director, Rusty Bates, and Dr. Tom Sisk for their assistance and support yesterday and today. Thank you LCS school principals, APs, teachers, instructional aides, CNP workers, bus drivers, and maintenance workers for taking care of our students and schools everyday.
We are blessed to live in a great community and county filled with caring friends and neighbors. Again, thank you for helping JES make things happen for the Jones family in their hour of need. Keep praying! We are Johnson! We are Limestone!!
