Broadcast Club
Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Hopefully most of you read the Sunday News Courier (Jan 30, 2011) where Dr. Lewis wrote about just a touch of things going on around our school.  Our school is a smooth running school because of all the people with in.  From our support staff, certified staff and students, we work together to make Johnson Elementary a success.

The Broadcast Club is somewhat new this year.  We have a little more to our morning news program than what we have had in the past.  We have new equipment that helps the students watching to visualize the announcements.   Our early morning routines such as the Pledge to the American Flag, our National Anthem now have the words on the TV so they can see them.   We are excited about this and we are so thankful that we have these tools at our fingertips now.  A special thanks to Coach Jones and Dr. Lewis for helping us set up and making this possible.

We have a camera crew, anchor crew, computer crew and just some plain gofers. To run and check to see if special guest are lined up and have their places.  This is a privilege for 5th Grade Classes only.  This is their last year here and they should get to do something special to remember the school by.
