I began my teaching career 25 years ago here at Johnson Elementary as a 6th grade teacher in 1993.  I taught 6th grade here until June of 1998.  I transferred to Madison County and taught from Fall of 1998 to Winter of 2012.  During those years, I taught 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.   I returned to Limestone County last year as a 3rd grade teacher at Piney Chapel. Currently I am the Reading Specialist and designated Assistant Principal for JES.  I am also the Dyslexia Facilitator for Limestone County Schools.

I am a Standards Based with Technology Presenter.  I trained teachers and administrators all over North Alabama this summer for UNA, Athens State Regional Inservice, Walker County Inservice, Limestone County Board of Ed., and Leadership Academy. I recently presented "Multi Sensory Made Easy" at the University of West Alabama DIRT Summit.

I am married to Brian C.T. Jones and we have two children.  Our daughter Tori is 20 and a sophmore at Auburn University.  Our son Christopher is 5 and a student at JES. We have one dog Oreo.  I love flower gardening, riding my bike, and Downton Abbey. We are members of First United Methodist of Athens.
