4th and 5th-grade students are invited to tryout for Scholar's Bowl this Thursday after school. Information/Permission forms were sent home last week. Contact Haleigh.Britt@lcsk12.org with questions.

All LCS will operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Due to potential hazardous travel conditions and extremely cold temperatures, Limestone County Schools will be closed Monday, January 26. We will continue to monitor conditions and will provide another update on Monday. Please stay safe and stay warm.

Reminder: After school tutoring resumes tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20th for those who were invited and completed the necessary paperwork from 3-4:00pm.

Attention Parents of Students in 3-5th Grades: Your students will be bringing home info regarding the Spelling Bee. We will hold class Spelling Bees on Thursday and the final round on Friday. The winner of the final round will represent JES at the district-wide Spelling Bee (more info to come). We would like all students to participate in the class spelling bee. It is SO hard to believe that it is the last week before Christmas! As a reminder, we will continue our 12 Days of Christmas dress-up days this week. If you would like for your student to participate in the Christmas themed Escape Room this week, Beta will be collecting money through Tuesday. Thursday night is our JES Fine Arts Night. It's going to be a BUSY week! Don't forget to BUNDLE UP tomorrow morning! BRRRRRRR....
